Owner & Travel Expert

Kate is the Owner of Travel Expert with over two decades experience in the Travel industry spanning three continents.


Starting her career as a university graduate with a BSc. degree, following her London OE, she soon spread her wings to Vancouver where she managed a retail travel agency, and worked in elite travel services for VIP corporate travelers in the US and Canada.


Returning to New Zealand in mid-2009, she has never looked back. Joining a traditional retail travel agency in Havelock North, Kate soon developed a strong reputation  as a Travel Expert.


Launching her own business in 2019 as an independent travel broker, Kate is now sought-after with a loyal following of clients throughout New Zealand and abroad. 


Travel Expert is a locally owned travel business in association with the Travel Managers Group New Zealand Limited.

Koryn is a familiar face to the Travel industry, having spent 10 years in a local Travel agency. She developed a loyal client base and a wealth of knowledge on all things travel.


 She has recently joined Travel Expert, with a fresh burst of passion for exploring the world and helping others turn their travel dreams into a reality.


Her experience extends to South East Asia, UK & Europe, America, Australia and the South Pacific. With group tours, cruises, solo adventures, destination weddings, a honeymoon and family holidays among her personal travel experiences,


Koryn can create personalised itineraries that match your interests and budget, and offer her dedicated support and guidance every step of the way.

Travel Expert is a member of Travel Managers Group (TMG), an IATA licensed and bonded agency formed in 2002. TMG is one of New Zealand's leading broker-based travel companies, and part of the Flight Centre Travel Group.

Known as International Air Transportation Association. IATA represents, leads and serves the airline Industry.  It is a trade association of the world's airlines, with its responsibility to serve and support aviation with global standards for airlines' safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability.
IATA recognise TMG as being financially secure and conducts biannual financial checks to serve as another means of security and assurance for our clients.

IATA accreditation is a seal of approval for agents and airlines to access the worldwide network.
